FITNESS CLASSES

YOGA EVERYWHERE

Exercises focus on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental well being.

Classes run on the following days and times:

Wednesday, 19:00-20:00pm

Friday, 9:30-10:30am

BODY BALANCE

A Yoga, Tai' chi and Pilates inspired workout leaving you strong, calm and centred. It includes carefully structured stretches and movements.

Tuesday, 20:00-21:00pm

Thursday, 19:30-20:30pm

FLEX

Flex is functional training to challenge and improve your functional mobility. The class is focused, athletic and energetic, based on natural movement.  In Flex, you loosen up and stretch out your muscles and work mostly in dynamic movements.  Suitable for complete beginners who want to improve   their flexibility or those who are looking to challenge their balance, core strength and stability.

Thursday, 17:30-18:15pm

STRENGTH CIRCUITS

This 45 minute class will push you to your limits. The class has stations set up combining the use of free weights and body weight exercises. The class focuses on technique and has no cardio involved, it is 100% focused on strength.

FIT YOU LIKE

Is a workout tailored to your needs. Variety is the spice of life and exercise! This class will challenge you in different ways each week. Class formats can range from boxing, circuits, strength work and endurance among others! So come along to give it a try and get more active whilst having fun.

This class will alternate every second week with Balance. This class is aimed at getting you more toned, flexible and stronger through a mixture of Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga and is choreographed to music!

Thursday, 9-9:45am

20/10

This half hour class offers a high intensity workout. Starting with a warm up, there is then 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds rest! This routine continues before finishing with a cool down period.

LEGS, BUMS AND TUMS

A conditioning class aimed at the body parts mentioned in the title.

BOXERCISE

A workout using gloves and pads. Routines and patterns are similar to boxing.

HARD CORE ABS

This class focuses on exercises to strengthen core abdominal muscles.

BRYAN PUMP

A weight based exercise class developing various techniques involving squats and presses.

KETTLEBELLS

A kettlebell is a cast iron bell with a handle attached. Kettlebells help build balance , power, muscle and more.

GYM FIT

Gym Fit is a 30 minute circuit class that takes place in the gym. We use the cardiovascular equipment, the weight machines, free weights as well as perform body weight exercises. This is a high intensity 30 minute workout that will work the whole body. It is ideal for anyone wanting a to build confidence using gym equipment, anyone short on time or anyone who needs an instructor to motivate them. Places are limited to 6 participants due to the gym being open to members at the same time.

DANS DANCE CLASS

This Dance class is aimed at anyone who wants to have boogie!! Its a 45 minute fun fuelled class that will get you motivated and moving!!

CIRCUITS

Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina. It comprises different strength exercises.

An intense workout that will maximise results! Boosts metabolism, improves speed, power and strength.

JAZZERCISE

Come along to a class to see how Jazzercise can help you on the road to fitness. Classes combine dance based cardio routines, resistance training, Pilates, Yoga and Kickboxing to give you a whole body workout. Whether you want to lose weight, tone up or simply increase your fitness, you'll find what you are looking for here.

BODYGRACE PILATES

This adult class follows a system of exercises using special apparatus designed to improve physical strength, flexibility and posture. It also enhances mental awareness.

BARRE CLASS

This popular exercise regime incorporates the precision of Pilates, the technique of ballet, the alignment of Yoga and the strength from sports conditioning. Balance, strength, stamina, power, flexibility and motor control all improve.

HIIT - HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

This class is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short intense anaerobic exercise with short recovery periods.

NEWMACHAR RUNNING GROUP

The Newmachar Running Group has been created off the back of the Newmachar 10k. This group is for all abilities, its a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a run.

ZUMBA

This class is a mix of latin and international music/dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting class all based on the principle that a workout should be 'FUN AND EASY TO DO'.

GCRA+ (Grampian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association)

GCRA+ is a patient led charity founded in 2002 by three cardiac patients to establish and run Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise classes in Grampian. GCRA+ provides fitness and well-being exercise classes in a relaxed atmosphere. The classes involve some chair based cardio and weight exercises.

This unique class provides Mums with the opportunity to carry out core & pelvic floor exercises in a fun and safe environment.
